From the feed

Food leads the feed this week:

  • AskMetafilter has a great list of squash recipes for all those winter squash that are plentiful and cheap in the northern hemisphere right now.
  • Terry Patten on exploring big questions in an integral world.  Good notes on polarity management and conscious evolution.
  • CassetteBoy meets Sir Alan Sugar (and Spurs fans will love this revelatory takedown).
  • Rosa Zubizarretta on Deepening Democracy.

    hey chris,

i’ve gotten myself re-immersed in integral and transpersonal conversations recently while reading jorge ferrer and jacob sherman, ‘the participatory turn: spirituality, mysticism, religious studies’ (suny 2008).

which brought me back to ferrer’s ‘revisioning transpersonal theory’ (suny 2002) and rick tarnas’ foreword to that book (available at cosmosandpsyche). which are fundamental responses to various limitations in wilber-style integralism.

all this to say that the integral and transpersonal conversations are much larger than wilber & friends (& foes) and this i want to draw to the attention of my friends in open space and other networks.

the polarities articulated by terry patten can be cast in a much larger way it seems. a task for another day.
